Maddie & Bradey ~ A Timeless Summer Wedding at Heart of Grace

Maddie and Bradey’s day was nothing short of amazing at Heart of Grace in London, Ky. After connecting with Maddie and Bradey I photographed their engagement in downtown Lexington. When Maddie showed up dressed to the 9’s and had the best inspo on her pinterest board, I knew that the wedding would be that fabulous, times 10. The people this day were so sweet and Maddie and Bradey were just the most grateful, kind couple. Throughout the day she was just constantly thanking every vendor and person involved for their role in the day, which means so so much!!! I am all about having a vision and I loved that Maddie thought out the vision for her wedding day and dreamed of what it would be down to every intricate detail. I can never promise to get everything but I actually enjoy having a good pinterest board to inspire me and draw from, but then take that inspo and make it unique to reflect your day. With that being said, this wedding day reflected everything lovely with a timeless, elegant theme joined by a touch of flair and fun!

When my second shooter and I arrived, I was immediately aware of the extra high energy pouring out from the bridal suite just up the winding staircase already setting the tone for the day on a high note! Maddie’s girls surrounded her with joy and set out on a mission of celebration… which they succeeded if I do say so myself! Maddie had all her details prepared for me and I was so excited to go to work arranging them and drawing inspiration from the vision Maddie had shared with me. I felt it gave me permission to be creative and try something new with the flatlay details! I loved arranging all the neutral golden tones, accompanied by the simple, yet elegant invitation with a custom stamped indention of their initials on the envelope. Not to mention the shoes!!! I’m a sucker for all things gold and these were a dream! Maddie would even sneak a peek and somehow become my hype girl while I was capturing details! Meanwhile Bradey was having a party of his own with his guys hanging out in the groom’s suite. He gave all his guys gifts complete with custom drinks! However, we managed to steal him away to read his letter and open his gift from Maddie. His reaction and smile said it all!!

The ceremony took place in the cove area nestled in the trees across the property. When the impressive doors of Heart of Grace opened to reveal Maddie, and then she eventually reached the bridge in clear sight of Bradey… emotions were high. Bradey looked at her with such admiration, matched by the look of anticipation she returned to him until finally she reached the end of the aisle. Gratitude and feelings of finally reaching this moment seemed to be written on Maddie’s face throughout the whole day really. After traditional exchanging of vows and rings, Maddie and Bradey headed back down the aisle, this time guests showering them with flower petals. We photographed some family photos and fun moments with the bridal party, when it was finally time for Maddie and Bradey’s portraits. We ventured around different spots getting all the soft and delicate moments

Finally it was time for the part I believe Bradey and Maddie most looked forward to, the reception where they would get to party the night away. The evening started off with a bang and some extravagantly executed entrances by the bridal party. The atmosphere was so fun, filled with dancing and the glow of the lights cascading in a rainbow of color. Something I admired was that Maddie and Bradey also took a minute to escape from all the noise and celebration just for themselves. I think they were prioritizing being present in every moment of the day, and not getting swept up in it all. Shortly after this we stole them away for some sunset photos! These worked out perfectly and the sunset was just what we needed after a slightly overcast day and a few thunder scares, we ended up being blessed by a glowing, orange classic Heart of Grace sunset.
